What to know before you submit your music
First and foremost is NO AI! The Hillbilly Studio only works with Country and Cristian Artists or Bands. Nothing against other genres, that’s just where my heart is when it comes to getting songs radio ready.
All songs must be submitted before a commitment is made by the studio to master your song. Why is that? Well, for a few reasons. The quality of the recording has to be at a certain level in order for it to be mastered to be radio ready. A lot of people record using their phones, which is good for Facebook, posting on X and sharing with friends but when it comes to mastering it professionally that won’t cut it. The quality is very poor.
Where you record also plays a big role in the ability to make it radio ready. If it is recorded in a garage or outside for example there will be a lot of background noises that can’t be removed. When you record a song to be mastered do it in a studio setting. That can be in your home if you have the right equipment to do it.
All music MUST me submitted either as an MP3 files or as a WAVE files. It can be just the master or it can be the master plus stems.
If it is an original song it becomes copyrighted the exact moment is created and fixed in a tangible medium, such as being recorded or written down which means of you wrote it then you own it. No worries. However, if you didn’t write it then there are protections in place for the person who did so that others may need to get the right to record and sell that song on any platform.
